The Muzzle

        Thomas and Justin were both excellent snipers. The difference is that they served on opposite sides of the American Civil War, with Thomas in the North, and Justin in the South.
         Thomas had one eye blind and Justin lost one leg in the Civil War,after that they went back to hometown in the depth of the Rocky Mountains.
One day, Thomas met his friend,Justin on crutches accidentally.They hugged heartedly, had a greeting, before saying goodbye to each other. When he walked away for a few steps, Thomas had a strange feeling that a muzzle was aimed at him behind.Subconsciously he turned back,yet unexpectedly saw Justin turning back,too. So they both had a embarrassed smile.
        Another day, they met again, still with a warm hug, a greeting after saying goodbye. When Thomas walked away, he burst the same feeling as ever that a muzzle was towards him, and unconsciously back, just to find Justin also looking back, and the two expressed embarrassed smile.
        Six months later, Justin moved away from the town,and went to a very far eastern town.
On that day, Thomas passed Justin's empty cabin, and he suddenly felt there seemed to be a dark muzzle aimed at him through one window.

枪口

       托马斯与贾斯汀都是优秀狙击手。不同的是，托马斯在北方军队中服役，贾斯汀在南方军队中服役。

        内战结束后，瞎了一只眼的托马斯与瘸了一条腿的贾斯汀都回到了洛基山深处的故乡小镇。

         一天，托马斯在路上遇到了拄着拐杖的好友贾斯汀，他们热烈地拥抱，寒暄一番后才分别。当托马斯走出几步后，感觉背后似乎有个枪口正对着他，不由下意识地回头，却发现贾斯汀也正回头，两人都尴尬地笑了。

        又一天，他们再次相遇，依旧是热烈地拥抱，寒暄一番后才分别。当托马斯走出几步后，又感觉背后似乎有个枪口正对着他，便又下意识地回头，发现贾斯汀也回头了，两人又尴尬地笑了。

……

        半年后，贾斯汀从小镇上搬走了，去了一个很远很远的东部小镇。

        那天，当托马斯路过贾斯汀那座空空荡荡的小木屋时，突然感觉某个窗口似乎有个黑洞洞的枪口正对着他……
