　　郝强当刑警总有破不完的案子，老婆是拥有几家连锁店的女强人，儿子灵灵只能寄托在幼儿园，周末相聚便是这一家三口最奢侈的期盼。灵灵两周见不到妈妈，但是他很懂事，心里想，嘴上不说。当刑警的爸爸经常出其不意弄出些新花招，逗得他乐此不疲。但郝强心里明白，几次轻微的口角都是自己在让步，否则，岂不将夫妻关系推上“三八线”？一不小心，就触发“边界战火”！
　　有个周五，幼儿园安排了一次特殊教育活动，老师带着大班十几个小孩去瞻仰革命烈士。坐在中巴专车上的灵灵，好奇地透过车窗，欣赏着美丽的城市风光。突然间，有个非常熟悉的身影从路旁晃过，他立即推开窗户往回搜索，没错：妈妈挽着一位叔叔的手。他愣了一会儿，突然紧闭车窗，生怕别人发现这个秘密。此后，灵灵好像换了个人似的，茶饭不思。老师担心他生病，带到医院检查，一切正常。灵灵知道自己已经失去了什么，但他想，应该想办法让爸爸也知道，他希望爸爸把妈抢回来。周末回到家里，灵灵一脸泪水。郝强联系老师询问，老师也说觉得非常奇怪，最后灵灵哭着说：“我想，妈妈......妈啊啊啊。”

　　Hao Qiang, a criminal policeman, has an endless supply of cases to investigate. His wife, a superwoman, runs several chain stores. Their son, Lingling, has to stay in the child-care center. A weekend reunion is a luxury for the family. Lingling is a sensible child; even though for two weeks he fails to see his mom and misses her very much, he says nothing. It is his dad who usually figures out some ways to cheer him up. Hao Qiang, however, realizes that he has been retreating in recent slight squabbles with his wife; he knows their relationship would be as dangerous as the 38th Parallel should a border fight arise.
　　One Friday, the child-care center set up a special educational activity. A dozen kids of senior class were to visit a martyr’s tomb. Seated in the shuttle bus, Lingling was looking out of the window in wonder and enjoying the beautiful urban scenery when suddenly he caught sight of a familiar figure pass by. At once he pushed the window open and searched backward. He was right. It was his mom who was walking hand in hand with another man! Stunned for a moment, he closed the window for fear that other kids should detect the secret. Afterwards, Lingling seemed to be a different kid who was turned off by all foods and drinks. Perhaps struck by some illness, he was taken to hospital for a physical examination. All was normal. Knowing for himself what had happened, he tried to inform his dad in the hope that he would draw his mom back. Back home at weekend, Lingling was all tears. Hao Qiang called inquiring the child-care center, only to be told that they were equally puzzled. “Mom, I miss you! Mom…ahhh!” Finally Lingling cried out.
