幸福药片

　　当幸福药片问世的时候，汉斯正在街头荡漾。他看见那么多人正在排队买东西，忍不住好奇，凑了过去。“原来，你们在买药啊。”汉斯笑了起来。
　　回到家，他惊异地发现，家人正拿着药片，准备吃药。汉斯连忙夺过父亲手中的药片：“爹，您老人家，为什么要吃药呢？”
　　父亲抢过药片，一口吞了下去。然后，慢条斯理地说：“我有病，我为什么不吃药？满大街的人，都在排队购买，你不知道是什么药吗？我告诉你，是幸福药片。吃了这种药，我会感到分外宁静！”父亲说完，倒在床上，呼呼地睡着了。
　　盯着父亲憨睡的模样， 汉斯无奈地叹了口气。他走上街头，望着一扇扇临街的窗口，里面的人，正在吃药。那是一些花花绿绿的药片，无疑，包括玄妙的幸福药片。
　　汉斯走进了供职的单位。他发现，一些人的桌子上摆着药片，这表明，人们已经吃过药，或正准备吃药。
　　其实，单位的人，早就讨论过了，怎样让汉斯吞服幸福药片？人们想破了脑袋，还是拿汉斯没办法。
　　好在，汉斯受到了上帝的指引——他经常到小酒馆去，一个人坐到半夜。汉斯虽然到小酒馆去，并不酗酒。他喜欢小酒馆的氛围。人们喝醉了酒，总要高腔大嗓地说话。酒后吐真言啊。听着人们畅谈，汉斯感到心里特别舒坦。他独坐在酒馆里，常常在想，人类究竟需要什么样的魔鬼呢？
　　后来，他把自己的想法变成了行动。这就是唱歌。他相信，自己的歌声能拯救人类，能唤醒人类。
　　没多久，人们都知道了，这个城市，有一个唱歌的疯子。他拒绝吃任何药片，包括幸福药片。

　　Magical pills

　　Hans was wandering along the street when he saw many people standing in queues to buy pills. “How strange!” Hans smiled.
　　When he got home, Hans was surprised that his father was taking pills. “What’s the matter, pa?”he asked.
　　“I’m sick, son.”Gulping down the pills, he said, unhurriedly, “Let me tell you. These are magical pills. Take them, and I’ll find my peace.” Then he fell asleep, soundly.
　　Hans sighed and left home again. He walked down the streets, passed by the windows, and met all sorts of people taking pills. Colorful magical pills. Of course, they all found their peace.
　　In his office, Hans had found himself being urged in every way to swallow pills. He had to retreat. And, thank God, he had found his shelter.
　　Hans was frequently seen sitting alone in a pub till midnight. He was not drinking much. He was addicted to the atmosphere in the pub more than the alcohol sold there. He enjoyed listening to those drunk men bragging and yelling and opening their hearts. “What does man really want?”he would be thinking over and over.
　　Then he put his thought into action. He sang. He believed that his songs would keep man alive and awake.
　　Soon, word spread that there was a nut who refused to take any magical pills but sang happily in the city.
