　　“早上好，请出示您的乘车证。”可以说，这趟列车也许就是离奥地利最近的地方。在这里，人们说“乘车证”，而不是“车票”；检票的人不叫“检票员”，而叫“查票员”；孩子们也能得到一张印有火车头图案的小票根。
　　发车的时候，天刚蒙蒙亮。时钟指向7点42分，要不是听到了查票员的这句话，我完全可以当自己是在世界上任何一个地方：拉姆安拉、特拉维夫、伊斯坦布尔、贝尔格莱德、第里雅斯特、巴特拉德克斯堡和格拉茨都有可能。同样的逻辑，同样的仪式：火车上的广播总会在列车出站和到站的时候响起，播报地点和时间，当然还总不忘提醒你不要坐过了站。
　　我要去莱奥本看卡塔琳娜。两年前，我在犹他州的帕克城与她结识，但那只是来去匆匆地一面之缘。鬼知道呢！我们只有短短的一天时间，此外就是从未兑现过的诺言。第二天一早，我就坐上了从犹他州盐湖城站开往伊利诺伊州芝加哥联合车站的列车。36个小时只后，相逢时的我们已经成为了被我甩在身后的回忆。
　　两年后，在莱奥本重逢。
　　期间，我们时不时会通通电话，发发信息和照片。我常常想，她的生活就是挣扎着活着，她也总是这么说。我们认识的时候，卡塔琳娜刚刚切除了一个肿瘤。三个月后，肿瘤又复发了。她肯定还会挺过来。
　　走访远方的朋友，与她分享欢笑和泪水，共同面对生活和死亡，这似乎是我们共同的信条。我们之间隔着8380公里，这令我们很容易就能隐匿起来，只是为了在一段时间后更为强烈得感受到我们仍然还在这里，依然还活着。
　　我不禁问自己：总有新的开始，到底是一种什么样的感受。
　　窗外的风景不断更迭，我想，火车是最容易让人迷失的地方。只要一个转弯，周遭便不再那么熟悉，一切也就被甩在了我的身后。佩高、巴德尔、施劳丁、乌格斯朵夫、佛罗雷敦。离莱奥本还有40公里。
　　我又想到了卡特琳娜和我们相遇的地方。我想，到站了我会下车，我们也会找到可以聊的东西。

　　克里斯托夫.斯扎雷,1987年出生。在格拉茨市学习德文语言文学并于2013年开始就读于柏林艺术大学硕士学科“环境中的艺术”。他曾在多种杂志上发表文章（如：LICHTUNGEN，Podium,perspektive）以及各类文集并曾受邀参加电台广播节目。自2013年他也加入文字舞蹈演出二人组”ANDTHENWERANINTOTHEOCEAN”(之后我们跑进大西洋)。
