　　动物王国为防御外敌和加强自身体育锻炼，急聘中长跑教练。
　　乌龟：年龄900岁，工龄800年，还有龟兔长跑、龟蜗比赛的冠军奖杯……通过。乌龟上岗，在森林里指导各种动物学习它家祖传的“乌龟步法”。
　　白兔：年龄3岁，打工2年，什么冠军的奖状奖杯都未曾获得。白兔灵机一动，毛遂自荐，飞跑起来速度确实很快，招聘处把它留下，作为乌龟的助手。
　　不久，动物王国进行体制改革，评定中长跑职称，大家发言。
　　老虎说：“乌龟年龄大，是特殊。”
　　斑马说：“乌龟工龄长，要考虑。”
　　灰狼说：“乌龟奖杯奖状多，要照顾。”
　　长颈鹿总结说：“乌龟的年龄、工龄及以往成绩均符合高级职称条件，各位评委就签个字吧。”
　　接下去拿出白兔的材料，大家发言讨论。
　　老虎说：“小白兔年纪轻，不要紧。”
　　斑马说：“小白兔工龄短，先暂缓。”
　　灰狼说：“小伙子要好好干，以后很有希望。”
　　长颈鹿总结说：“小白兔这类不符合上级要求，户口在农村，又不是正式干部，先放着吧。”
　　乌龟评上中长跑高级教练，加薪加禄；白兔没有评上职称，工资低微，青菜淡饭。

　　For the sake of keeping away enemies and strengthening physical exercise, the kingdom advertises urgently for a trainer of middle-and-long-distance race.
　　Then comes a candidate, by the name of Tortoise, who is 900 years at age, 800 years of working experience, with golden trophies of Tortoise-Hare Race and Tortoise-Snail Race. So Tortoise is employed to instruct other wild animals on his ancestral “Tortoise’s Pace”.
　　There is another candidate, by the name of White Hare, who is 3 years at age, 2 years as a casual worker, with no certificate or trophy. Being a smart candidate who recommends himself by showing off his fast speed, White Hare is employed to be an assistant to Tortoise.
　　Soon the kingdom launches a structural reform, assessing employees’ professional ranks and titles. All animals are entitled to make their statements.
　　“Given his old age, Tortoise is a special case.” Tiger says.
　　“Given his working experience, Tortoise is incomparable.” Zebra says.
　　“Given his certificates and trophies, Tortoise is to enjoy the priority.” Gray Wolf says.
　　“Given his age, working experience and previous achievements, Tortoise is suitable for a senior rank and title; judges, sign your names, please.” Giraffe concludes.
　　Then the discussion shifts on to White Hare’s file.
　　“White Hare is young; he’s to have more opportunities.” Tiger says.
　　“White Hare lacks working experience; he has a long way to go.” Zebra says.
　　“Work harder, young man; a brilliant future is yours.” Gray Wolf says.
　　“He fails to provide sufficient qualifications; he was born on a farm; White Hare is not suitable for a rank or title.” Giraffe concludes.
　　Being a senior trainer of middle-and-long-distance race, Tortoise enjoys his rich life with a high salary; with no rank or title, White Hare lives on vegetables by low wages.
