　　我心里也骂收藏圈里的老白蠢，但又想不明白，就急匆匆地赶到他家。进门就问：“你在苏州花三千块钱买了根头发丝？”
　　老白满脸笑容地说：“是啊，咋了？”
　　我说：“人们在到处议论你呢，说你蠢。”
　　老白笑哈哈地说：“他们不懂。你过来。”
　　他说着进了书房，拿起一个红色的锦盒。打开一看，一块黄缎子上放着一根黑黑的头发，不到一寸长。他拿起一个放大镜递给我说：“你看。”
　　我拿起放大镜照在头发丝上一看，呦——，头发丝上立刻显现出了唐僧、孙悟空、猪八戒、沙僧，四人神采各异，姿态生动。
　　我惊呆了，死死地盯着头发丝。看了一会儿抬起头问老白：“是微雕？”
　　老白说：“是微雕。你再看一遍。”他说着翻了一下头发丝。
　　我又把放大镜照在头发丝上，放大镜里立刻显现出了一行遒劲大字：西游本无记，东人来演戏。我心里一阵的感慨。
　　老白又动了一下头发丝，说：“你再看。”
　　我又看，上面又显现出来一行字：唐僧是真人，徒弟才妖精。
　　我不由得“啊”了一声，说：“稀世之宝，稀世之宝。我出五千块，让给我？”
　　老白说：“晚了，早让人一万块定走了。”

　　In my mind I also degraded Lao Bai to be a jerk in the circle of collection, but I couldn’t help coming over to him in a hurry. Hardly had I stepped indoors when I asked, “You paid 3,000yuan for a hair in Suzhou, didn’t you?”
　　“Yes. Then what?” Lao Bai was all smiles.
　　“It rumors everywhere that you got fooled.”
　　“They don’t know. Come on.” said Lao Bai, laughing.
　　Then he entered his study, took out a red golden box and opened it. On a yellow satin lay a black hair, less than an inch long. “Have a look.” He handed me a magnifying glass.
　　Wow---with the magnifying glass, in my eyes appeared Tang Seng, Sun Wukong, Zhu Bajie and Sha Heshang, the four well-known characters of A Journey to the West! They all looked distinctly vivid.
　　I was stunned at the hair. “Is it miniature engraving?” I asked, after a long gaze.
　　“Yes, it is. Have another look.” With this he turned over the hair.
　　This time, in the magnifying glass appeared a line of sturdy characters: NO JOURNEY TO WEST BUT GAMES IN EAST. I uttered a sigh in my heart.
　　“Look again.” Lao Bai moved the hair a little.
　　I saw another line of characters: TANG SENG IS TRUEMAN DISCIPLES ARE EVIL SPIRITS.
　　“Oh!” I couldn’t help exclaiming a surprise. “It’s rare! It’s rare! I’ll pay you 5,000yuan for it.”
　　“It’s too late. Someone has fixed it at 10,000yuan.” said Lao Bai.
