来生再做母女/许国江
　　
　　母亲身患绝症，女儿守候在她的身边。弥留之际，母亲的神志仍很清楚。女儿注视着母亲苍白灰暗的面庞，见她眼珠稍稍转了一下，嘴唇在微微的蠕动。女儿俯下身子对母亲说：妈妈，你还有什么事要交待？
　　母亲干枯的眼眶里渗出了一滴混浊的泪水，断断续续地说：假如……还有……来生，我们……还做……母女。
　　尽管声音极其微弱，但女儿听得十分真切。她取出手帕，拭干了母亲的眼泪，贴在她的耳边，哽咽着说：妈妈，假如还有来生，我们一定再做母女。不过，妈妈，你要答应我，我俩得换个位置，我做母亲，你做女儿。说罢，泪雨滂沱。

　　The daughter was watching her mother who had suffered from an incurable disease. As she lay dying, the mother still had a clear mind. Gazing at her dark pale gray face, the daughter noticed her mother’s eyeballs rolling slightly and her lips vibrating faintly. “Mom, do you have anything to say?” Bending over, the daughter asked.
　　“If…there’s…a…future…life, we’ll…still…be…mother…and…daughter.” Word for word, uttered the mother, a drop of thick tear oozing out of one of her dry eyes.
　　The voice being extremely feeble, the daughter heard her mother very clearly. She took out a handkerchief, wiped her mother’s tear and whispered to her ear, chokingly, “Dear mom, if there’s a future life, we’ll certainly be mother and daughter again. But mom, will you promise me? We must change roles. I’ll be the mother and you my daughter.” With this her tears poured out.
