　　钱局长率团外出考察，返回时见时间尚早，便提议大家搓几把麻将玩玩。这一玩，竟误了登机时间。等一行人从宾馆打的匆匆赶到机场，航班刚好离开。
　　钱局长懊悔地直拍脑袋，大家面面相觑，也不敢多言。这时，有人冲到机场人员面前，说：“怎么回事？我们局长还没上飞机，谁让你们起飞的？”
　　大家一看，是局里的一个副科长，姓黄，因好酒贪杯，绰号“黄大缸”，这不，中午他又多喝了几杯，现在酒劲发作了。
　　见黄大缸一脸酒气，机场人员没有理会他。黄大缸挥舞着胳膊，唾沫飞溅地吼起来，“他妈的，你们好大胆子，我们局长还没上飞机，你们居然敢将飞机开走了！”说着，他拿出手机，说：“快告诉你们的领导电话，我要投诉你们！”
　　几个同事上前劝说，黄大缸不听，口口声声说：“我们局长没到，谁让你们将飞机开走的？赶紧给我飞回来，赶紧给我飞回来！”
　　哄笑声四起……
　　回到单位，黄大缸大闹机场的事很快传开，大家哭笑不得，都说这回黄大缸丢人现眼，要挨处分了。
　　哪知，一个月后，正赶上局里人事调整，黄大缸竟被破格提拔为单位的三个副局长之一。大家目瞪口呆。后来有人听到钱局长私下说：“黄大缸虽酒后失态，但忠心可嘉，可堪重用！”

　　Since it was early for departure, Director General Qian, head of the survey tour, proposed that they kill the time by playing mahjong. Several rounds over, it was past the boarding time. The team was rushed by a taxi to the airport, only to find the flight had just taken off.
　　Director General Qian kept patting his own head, in great regret; all his men gazed at each other, speechless.Suddenly one of them made his way to the ground staff, yelling, “What has come over you? Director General isn’t on board. How dare you let the plane take off?”
　　It was Mr. Huang, assistant section chief, who was nicknamed Mr. Vat for his too much drinking. He drank a lot at noon, so that the wine took the lead at the moment.
　　Apparently a drunkard, Mr. Vat’s query was ignored. Then he waved his arms and sputtered, “Damn you! Director General isn’t on board. How dare the plane take off?” With this, he drew out his mobile phone. “Tell me the number of your boss. I have a complaint to make!”
　　Other fellows came up to cool him off. Mr. Vat didn’t listen. He continued, “Director General isn’t on board. Who has the power to let the plane take off? Let it return! Let it return!”
　　Laughter exploded.
　　Soon after, Mr. Vat’s fuss at the airport spread across the Unit, making everyone embarrassed some way or the other. It was rumored that Mr. Vat should be punished for this big disgrace.
　　Surprisingly enough, one month later Mr. Vat was exceptionally promoted to Deputy Director General. Everyone was stupefied. Later Director General was overheard talking in private, “Despite his disgrace when drunk, Mr. Vat’s devotion is precious. He deserves the credit.”
