KISS
By Yu Tu
KISS was a new painting by a well-known artist. Its first release at the exhibit hall drew great interest of a large audience. Standing in front of the lily-white canvas, the visitors had tried in vain to track down any trace of a kiss or something. Some were disappointed. Some said KISS was present in the painting and it could surely be seen as long as one focused. Still the kiss-hunters failed.
A lady, all of a sudden, let herself go kissing the painting, her cherry-like ruddy lips printed on the purely white canvas.
The police got the report immediately and arrested the lady on the spot.
She was accused of Disruption of Artwork. At the court she defended for herself, “I’m an artist too. For the sake of the canvas, its purity, its clean white, I couldn’t help kissing it.”
The “victim” defended for the lady, “As a co-worker, the accused has indeed perfected the painting by her last stroke. She’s made KISS a genuine masterpiece.”
